Gary Gygax was the original creator of Dungeons and Dragons and is generally considered the father of modern role-playing games. In a What-If, he joined Al Gore's Vice Presidential Action Rangers and attempted to fix Fry's hole in space and time. After he gave Fry his weapon which led to Fry destroying the Cryogenic Freezer Tube and the destruction of the Universe. He spent the rest of his time playing Dungeons and Dragons with Fry and the other Action Rangers.
The real Gary Gygax died on 4 March, 2008. In his honour, the film Bender's Game was dedicated to him.
